  • Full 10-year British passport
  • Certified copy of original birth certificates
  • Affidavit*
  • All documents must be legalised by the Foreign & Commonwealth office and certified by a UK solicitor

 

*If either bride or groom has never been married before, an affidavit certifying this fact must be sworn before a Notary Public in U.K. or on arrival in resort before a lawyer in Nassau.

If Bride or Groom was adopted Original deed poll notice issued by UK Deed Poll Office
If either Bride or Groom is under 18 Consent of one or both parents/guardians is required in the form of an affidavit stamped by the notary public

  • Minimum age to marry: 18
  • Minimum no. of days in resort prior to wedding: 2 days
  • Minimum overall stay required: 7 days
  • of witnesses required: 2 – must be over the age of 18 (we can arrange witnesses if only bride & groom travelling)
  • Couples need to take all original documentation with them to resort
  • Copies of all documents must be received by Beach Weddings 60 days prior to departure.

Climate

Say “I do” in Bahamas between September and May when the temperatures are slightly cooler and there’s less humidity. With a healthy average of 21-24 degrees during peak visiting times, it is a lovely and warm place to exchange your vows, with a sea breeze. May and October is the wettest months, with the dry months being between November to April. Both winter and summer is warm in the Bahamas with temperatures rising above 30 degrees often.
