After booking their beach destination wedding in 2021, Helen and Allan finally got married in May 2022 in dreamy Mauritius. The lovely couple recently held their wedding and stayed on their honeymoon in Mauritius at the adults-only section of Victoria Beachcomber Resort & Spa named Victoria for 2 Beachcomber.
‘What a magical day from start to finish. I loved the hair & makeup, my flower bouquet was perfect, just what I asked for’
‘Marrisa, the wedding co-ordinator was just simply amazing, she sorted out everything in detail including the little extras we asked for. In addition, JJ the photographer produced a wonderful photo album, which we will treasure for ever.’
‘Tying the knot on the beach had been our dream with the golden sands and crystal clear waters in the backdrop. Everything was just perfect.’
‘We had a great start to our wedding & honeymoon. The great thing was that our flight was easy as we had the quickest check-in we’ve ever done. Our plane seats were great, the cabin crew were friendly and helpful and the onboard meals were delicious.’
‘Soon as we got to Mauritius it was beautiful and warm. We got into our taxi transfer and the driver gave us lots of local information and history, which was very helpful.’
‘Finally, we arrived at the beautiful resort and we were immediately impressed, it was like we were in paradise. The plants/gardens were immaculate. The resort sure did have the WOW factor.’
‘Once we checked-in to the resort, we were taken up to our beautiful swim-up room, where we stayed for 14 nights. The swim-up room was idyllic, spacious and clean. We loved the bed linen and the couple’s shower featured in the room. The best thing was that our room was stones throw from the beach and in the perfect location to watch the sunsets.’
‘As for the dining, we were lucky enough we went all inclusive, there was no other way to do it. There was a lovely choice of food and drinks in all the restaurants and bars. The bar staff who were very friendly and engaging, knew our favourite drinks. Our friendly barman, Gopi, even created a special wedding/honeymoon cocktail for us. We even enjoyed a wedding evening meal at La Casa which was amazing.’
‘We also took advantage of the great facilities that were on offer. We had the most amazing facial at the spa and couples massage which was a lovely experience. When we weren’t enjoying the shoreline scenery, we would try out the complimentary water sport and land activities which was included in the all inclusive package. On one of the days we decided to try the glass bottom boat, where you could get a great view of the fish and coral reefs.’
‘Overall, we were satisfied with the resort and wedding itself, it certainly beat all of our expectations. Our stay at the Victoria beachcomber resort was amazing. We would love to revisit again possibly for an anniversary in the future.’
The highlight of the trip was being pampered and well looked after. Also, the wedding evening meal at La Casa was outstanding well worth it. The housekeeping staff were amazing as were the reception desk, Maurotours. The shops were great and we enjoyed the wonderful spa which we used a few times.
