Mehndi and Sangeet
During the Sikh Indian wedding, the Mehndi and Sangeet is an amazing and fun-filled event. The Mehndi ceremony is an amazing showcase of old customs and ancient rituals signifying the strength and power of love through marriage.
This is followed by the Haldi ceremony, a yellow turmeric paste is applied both to the bride and groom to give them a beautiful glow.
Then in the evening is the Sangeet night where both families get together to perform song-dance routines. We make sure that all these events are full of fun festivities for couples and their guests.
While many couples choose to have separate Mehndi and Sangeet events, the majority choose to mix it up in one night.

Baraat and Anand Karaj
With the chura ceremony (the bride is gifted a set of red bangles by her maternal uncle to be worn on her wedding) and Jago party (bride and grooms pre-wedding party) completed the night before, the final thing in the scheme of customs lies the day of the big wedding.
The groom is led to the marriage venue in a procession known as the Baraat via foot or on a white horse (Ghodi). In Sikh tradition, the Groom arrives wearing a sahara and saafa while carrying a kirpan.
Then the bride walks down the aisle to the marriage venue to join the groom where then the beautiful and intimate Anand Karaj ceremony will take place. Anand Karaj means ‘Blissful union’ in which two individuals are unified in an equal relationship.
All customs and arrangements will be made according to your requirements on the day of wedding.
